Gigi Holder is a certified health education specialist and graduate from the University of Arkansas located in her hometown of Fayetteville, Arkansas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Education in 2007 and has since continued to grow in her endeavors centered on her passion for overall health and wellness. Gigi’s most noteworthy work experiences come from her 4 years as a telephonic behavioral health coach at TrestleTree, LLC and her 2 years serving as a health volunteer in Burkina Faso, West Africa with the Peace Corps from 2012-2014. The latter experience is what ignited Gigi’s interest in learning about and advocating for social justice, thus prompting her to seek a Masters in Social Work degree along with a Masters in Public Health degree at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, New Mexico (graduated May 2018). She is currently serving in a postgraduate fellowship position as a social worker in the pediatrics department through the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Gigi’s professional interests include direct clinical counseling in cognitive behavioral therapy methods, health behavior modification, women and child health, and the promotion of health education for individuals, groups, and communities.
